Heat Shrink Application Brief in RHINO CRASH

Speed, Efficiency, Reliability
Specially-designed to meet the challenges of identifying wire and cable, these top-performing nylon labels and heat shrink tubes “wrap in a snap” – just one reason they’re our top-sellers.

RHINO heat Shrink LabelsFor Smaller Diameter Cables
Heat Shrink Tube is the best choice for smaller diameter cables because once shrunk into place, they will never fall off. They are ideal for cables up to .343” (8.70mm) including RG6 quad coax.

For labeling larger cables, RHINO recommends Flexible Nylon that bends easily around cable – and stays there.

Self-Laminating Labels
RHINO Slef-Laminating LabelsDue to requests by many installers, RHINO is now offering ” Self-Laminating" labels. These labels provide an area for the identification data and a clear tail that wraps around the label for extra protection. They are designed specifically for wire and cables.

Resist the Elements
You dress for the weather. the same with rhino labels. Because they print with thermal transfer technology, they’re “insulated” against smearing from moisture, solvents and chemicals. and industrial-strength adhesives prepare them for anything.

When labeling surfaces outside, you can count on the moisture and UV resistance of RHINO Vinyl labels. Constructed of strong vinyl for maximum durability, and using RHINO's thermal transfer print technology and industrial-strength adhesives, these labels can resist rain and direct sunlight without curling or fading.

Vinyl labels also perform very well on cables, however, if you are labeling larger cables with
horizontal wraps, use Vinyl labels at least 3/4” wide.

Handle the curves
Your truck can corner with the best of them. RHINO labels are just as responsive. Ideal for pipes, machinery and more – our labels really grab hold. Just like a new set of tires.

If the surface you are labeling is curved – such as bundled cable, conduit, pipes, rounded equipment, tools, etc – use RHINO Flexible Nylon. The flexible memory-resistant material “hugs” curved surfaces and will not curl up or fall off. Vinyl labels may also be used.

FLAT SMOOTH SURFACES

Keep things Moving smoothly
You might think our labels for smooth surfaces are less “rough and tumble” than our outdoor and flexible performers. Not a chance! all RHINO labels feature our advanced adhesives for superior results.

If you're labeling equipment, patch panels, faceplates, etc., Permanent Polyester labels are ideal. They will stick firmly to flat, smooth surfaces and their glossy white, clear or metallic colors will present a clean, professional look to your labeling.

If you are labeling flat, smooth surfaces and need to color-code, RHINO Vinyl labels will do both jobs effortlessly.

ROUGH/TEXTURED SURFACES
RHINO Flexible Nylon Labels

When the going gets “rough,” get Flexible!
It makes sense. When a surface is uneven, you’d better be prepared. For “raised or bumpy” surface identification, reach for our flexible nylon tapes. Durable and dependable, they let you grab hold of any rough-surface labeling challenge.

For textured surfaces, you can use Permanent Polyester, Flexible Nylon or Vinyl
labels. Please note: Permanent Polyester works extremely well on textured
surfaces due to its special adhesive, but requires additional time to “cure” for a
solid, long-lasting grip. For faster adhesion, Flexible Nylon works great.

Make the Message stick. Not the label.
Faceplates. Label sleeves. File drawers. Wire tags. Not all labeling applications require adhesives. That’s why RHINO has developed non-adhesive tag labels. So whatever non-stick label you need, ours are easy to create – and remove.

Labeling a faceplate that has clear plastic covers over the I.D. area, patch panels
with label channels, or wire tags? Use RHINO Non-adhesive Tag labels. No more
hand-written labels, wasted label sheets, or cards and books. Just print individual
labels on site and slip them into the inserts. Better than ordinary paper, these
labels are constructed of polypropylene for superior durability and rigidity.
